At Patrington Haven Leisure Park, we proudly commemorate Remembrance Day with our Poppy Memorial, which is inspired by the beautiful work of Gareth Walker’s poppy display in Patrington.
This touching tribute was created through a collaborative effort run by Vicki Jackson that spanned months, beginning with the cleaning, collecting, and careful cutting of over 100 plastic bottles. These bottles were collected and transformed into beautiful poppies.
During the summer holidays, the children at The Country Club Kids Club added their personal touch by hand painting each bottle in a vibrant shade of red. Then, to complete this memorable display, Rich Jackson of Greens, The Signmakers has kindly crafted elegant and durable metal stems for each poppy making them stand tall and proud.
The Poppy Memorial is located at the entrance of the Park and beside the RAF Memorial. Standing as a symbol of respect and gratitude, this is a touching tribute to the heroes of the past and their sacrifices for future generations.
Thank you to all who contributed.
